CKE INDOOR PICKLEBALL PROGRAM

The Indoor Pickleball Program is recreational and intended for CKE pickleball players of all skill levels.  We have limited indoor capacity and the program is for CKE Residents only.  Current CKE Community Membership is required. The program runs from October to May and we play Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings.

**Note that as of February 2026, felt paddles are now required to be used on the outdoor pickleball courts**

$5 drop in on Thursdays. Max 7 people plus organizer and you’ll have to register each week you want to attend. CKE Membership required.

All ages and skill levels welcome! Please bring your own paddle.

Game time and format will vary on the number of players as there is only one court.

Join us on the 4th Thursday of the month at 10:30 at the CKE hall for a Senior’s Tea and Coffee social! Refreshments are provided.

PROSTAID Calgary usually meets on the third Wednesday of the month (except June and December) to support all those affected by prostate cancer. All our meetings are free. We support Warriors (cancer survivors), Wives, Partners and Caregivers. We will meet in January 2024 at CKE starting at 6:00 pm with a social gathering in the lounge and separate meetings from 6:30 to 7:30 prior to the general meeting in the main hall.
Our Meetings:
• Always feature a medical guest speaker or healthcare professional.
• Time to share your experiences with others.
• Time to ask questions.

CKE has some of the best courts in the city. There were refinished in 2021 and we want you to come out and play!

At this time we do not allow bookings or rentals of the Courts by CKE residents or anyone else. The 3 exceptions are: the schools in CKE neighbourhoods may rent the Courts, we book the Courts off for group lessons, and we book the Courts off for the CKE Pickleball Drop-In Program & related events.

The CKE Community Garden is a wonderful asset to the Community, providing rich, diverse green space next to the Community Hall. The CKE Community Garden rents out half beds (4’ x 4’) to members of the community for $35 per year + a current community membership. Fees charged go back into the garden to be used for supplies, plants, and hosting educational events. If you are interested in renting a plot for spring 2022, or just want to get involved, please send a note to the Sonja Johnson at sonja_johnson20@hotmail.com.
