CKE Community Activities

CKE Tennis

CKE has some of the best courts in the city. There were refinished in 2021 and we want you to come out and play!

At this time we do not allow bookings or rentals of the Courts by CKE residents or anyone else. The 3 exceptions are: the schools in CKE neighbourhoods may rent the Courts, we book the Courts off for group lessons, and we book the Courts off for the CKE Pickleball Drop-In Program & related events.

CKE Pickleball

Indoor Pickleball Program

Registration for the January – March 2024 session of CKE Indoor Pickleball Program is now open!  The session starts on Wednesday January 3, 2024.

The Indoor Pickleball Program is for CKE pickleball players of all skill levels and is intended to be recreational, otherwise known as ‘social play’.  We have limited indoor capacity and the Indoor Pickleball Program is for CKE Residents only.  Current CKE Community Membership is required.

Program Times

  • Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings with two sessions each day:  9:00 – 10:30 am and 10:30 am – 12:00 pm.  We arrange additional sessions from 12:00 – 1:30 pm on Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays if demand warrants it.
  • Each session is limited to 6 participants.
  • Weekly sign-ups are facilitated through SignUpGenius.
  • Participation in a WhatsApp Group Chat is encouraged to communicate with other members in the Program.

Program Fees – October to December Session

  • To play 1 session/week $60
  • To play 2 sessions/week $120

We have limited space to register as an Alternate. Alternates may sign-up to play once a week only after regular players have signed-up and if spaces remain on the schedule. Cost is $30.

We encourage participants to be realistic about how often they can commit to playing during the week.

Registration

To register, email Jen at ckecourts@gmail.com and indicate if you would like to play 1 or 2 sessions/week or if you would like to sign up as an Alternate. Jen will confirm space is available and then ask you to e-transfer the appropriate program fee.

City of Calgary – All Wheels Skatepark

The CKE Skatespot offers a safe and active social space for people of all ages to connect with others, exercise in, and practice their skill! Obstacles include a quarter pipe, curved ledge, ledge/manny pad with wedge, flatbar with landscape flat gap, bank, and a flat ledge.

To help keep the park safe and clean, a locked supply box equipped with cleaning and maintenance supplies is located at the park. This initiative relies on “key holders” from the skate community to help keep the park clean and free of debris. If you are interested in being a key holder, please contact Calgary Association of Skateboarding Enthusiasts (CASE) – chair@calgaryskateboarding.com.

This park is owned and operated by The City of Calgary. Please contact the City of Calgary at 3-1-1 with any issues, concerns, or questions.
