Hello Neighbours!

The summer is just about here, and I couldn’t be more
excited to get outdoors and take advantage of so many
of the things that make CKE a great place to live.
Whether it’s working with neighbours to support our
bottle drives (July 17 is the next one!), rolling up our
sleeves to tend to the community gardens, playing
a game of tennis on our beautiful courts, or simply
enjoying a walk through the neighbourhood, June is
shaping up to be a wonderful start to the summer.
We are planning to hold our AGM on June 15 and will be
respecting all public health guidelines (visit the CKE web
site at www.ckecommunity.com for the latest details).
The CKE Community Association AGM is a wonderful
opportunity for community members to join our
community association, either as board members or by
taking on a role on one of our many volunteer committees.
Serving this community as CKE President and as a board
member over the last few years has allowed me to connect
with so many great neighbours and dedicated volunteers.
I cherish these relationships and what we’ve been able to
accomplish together. As I get ready to pass the torch on
to a new president at our upcoming AGM, I encourage all
our neighbours to consider getting involved. While I am
wrapping up my tenure as CKE President, I am excited to
stay on the board and find new ways to contribute.
Everything we do at the CKE Community Association
is made possible through our community volunteers.
Thanks to the Matthews family for their work on our bottle
drives, Robin Daigle for spearheading our annual flower
fundraiser, Dan Kennelly for his work in getting the lights
replaced on the hockey rinks, and so many others that
devote their time and energy to community initiatives.
If you’re interested in joining the Board or volunteering
your time to support our community, please reach out
to me, or email ckecommunity@gmail.com. Whether
you can devote a couple of hours a month or would
like to take on a leadership role as part of our board, we
appreciate your time and talent, and would love your

Stay well, stay safe, and stay in touch!
