CKE Community Association Strategic Priorities And Expenditures

November 8, 2024

The CKE Board of Directors will be meeting early in 2025 to consider potential initiatives and capital projects of an enduring nature to benefit the CKE Community.

We are interested in getting your feedback about initiatives and potential capital projects of significant and lasting benefit that you believe are important for our Community Association to pursue on behalf of CKE, so that we can consider them in our discussions and use that information to help us set our priorities for the near to mid-term.

Although our financial resources are in much better shape than they were several years ago, it is our intention to manage existing funds conservatively to maintain a strong balance sheet. It is also important to note that any single capital project with an anticipated cost exceeding $20,000 would also require approval from members of the Community Association through a Special Resolution (75% voting threshold of those present for the vote on 21 days’ advance notice) before we could proceed with a proposed significant expenditure.

We look forward to hearing from you.

2024 Builder Award: Karen Clark

Over the past year, Karen has been a beacon of kindness and dedication. Karen approached the CKE on her own initiative, identifying the need for social events for the vibrant seniors in our community. She has single-handedly spearheaded and organized the monthly Coffee and Tea Social for seniors, an event that has quickly become a cherished tradition. Every month, Karen not only sets up and hosts these gatherings but also prepares delicious coffee and treats, creating a warm and welcoming environment for our senior community members to connect and enjoy each other’s company.

Karen’s tireless efforts have strengthened the bonds within our community, providing a regular, much-anticipated event that brings joy, comfort, and companionship to many. Her commitment and hard work have not gone unnoticed, and we are deeply grateful for her unwavering support and contribution.

Karen, your dedication and passion for fostering community spirit are truly inspiring. You have made a remarkable difference, and for this, we are incredibly thankful.

Please join me in congratulating Karen as she receives the Community Builder Award. Thank you, Karen, for all that you do.
