CKE Community Garden Demonstration  – Cooking with Zucchini

Some crops consistently outperform our expectations, leave us with excess produce to share with neighbours and challenge us with finding creative ways to use and not waste the results of our labour.  Top of the list is the humble zucchini.

Join us on Saturday, June 6th at 10am at the CKE Community Hall for a 1 hour demonstration plus question time (and tasting!) by Sylvia Kong, home economist and cook book author.

Using recipes from the Best of Bridge Kitchen Simple cook book – a  collection of easy and delicious weeknight family recipes with shortened prep times – the recipes she will present for us focus on making use of the bounty of zucchini.

Based on Sylvia’s previous presentation on rhubarb, this is sure to be a fun, informative and tasty event!  Copies of the book will be available for purchase.

The cost for Cooking with Zucchini is $25.
